TNA project : Human fatigue evaluation with motion capture system
Acronym : 52-Human fatigue evaluation with motion capture system-laroche
Project Lead : florent laroche
From : Ecole Centrale de Nantes
Dates : from 27th November 2012 to 2nd December 2012
Description : Motivation and objectives :
The human task simulation is one way to prevent the in Musculoskeletal disorder (MSD). The current software integrates ergonomic evaluation based on static posture and classical anthropometric data. Some dynamic packages are able to define the human interval forces but the muscle fatigue models are not yet implemented and the link between the joint torques and the muscle forces is an ambitious challenge. The aim of the project is to define human trajectories able to validate the human fatigue model.
Teams :
The local team is composing with Fouad Bennis (Prof. ECN), Damien Chablat (DR CNRS) and Sophie Sakka (MCF Univ Poitiers). They invite Ronan Boulic (Prof. EPFL). All the people are working on the human simulation and the human fatigue evaluation.
Dates :
starting date : 27 November, 2012
ending date : 02 December, 2012
Facilities descriptions :

Recordings & Results :
Describe the human muscle properties to prevent the MSD and optimize the human placement for a given task.
Conclusions :
The experimental protocol aim to define human path to be integrated in the Ecole Centrale de Nantes’s lecture on Virtual Reality. The link between the haptic interface and the human motion will provide an objective evaluation of the human fatigue.
